| What does SAR do for my community? Having a local Search and Rescue team in your community means that there are trained volunteers ready to be of assistance to law enforcement agencies in the event that someone in YOUR community becomes lost or is missing. It means that these volunteers, who are your neighbors, care and donate a great deal of time and money to learning the skills that will enable them to effectively help official agencies should the NEED arise. It means that there is hope.... for the elderly who wonder away from home, the lost hiker, the missing child.... Help us Help them! What your donation will be used for: |

- Cen-Tex utilizes donations to purchase yearly insurance for the team. This is something very needed to be able to
respond to missions. - Cen-Tex utilizes donations to help purchaseessential equipment for mission response. Any monetary and/or
equipment donations made to help defer the cost of training and supplies will be greatly appreciated and used
exclusively for mission readiness and/or missions. - Cen-Tex members generously take off time from work and often travel several hours responding to mission
requests. Some searches require us to stay for multiple days. Requesting agencies are sometimes able to provide us
with some type of lodging, however, if this is not available, the responsibility falls back on the individual volunteer
member. Your donations will be used to assist in the expenses associated with mission response such as gas and/or
lodging. - Cen-Tex members are responsible for providing their own funding to purchase essential equipment, uniforms,
training courses, and certification exams. Donations are used to assist in deferring some of these costs when
available. - Cen-Tex utilizes donations to assist in conducting or attending seminars to enhance skills and response capabilities.
These seminars are designed to offer valuable training and insight to better facilitate more effective service to our
community.
